Rightsmatter.com aims to act as the voice for the voiceless, where
ever they are and who ever they are.
We believe strongly that all are equal and an erosion of rights
in a corner of the world is just as important as, a rights-related
issue in a bustling high-profile metropolitan city. To that end, our
work is guided by the words of former South African President,
Nelson Mandela: "For to be free is not merely to cast off
one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of
others."
It aims to inform its readers of the human, social, and political
rights related issues from around the world and to encourage all to
act. And, to highlight human rights issues while not loosing focus
of social, cultural, political and economical issues that are often
the root causes of these human rights issues.
Rightsmatter.com believes all peoples have the right to peace and
justice and our site aims to provide the tools necessary for
individuals to learn, understand, organize, and to act.
As such we work with organizations and individuals committed to
